Combination Skin - Daily Routine

Combination or Combo skin is known by having both dry and oily areas on the face. For example:

  • T-zone: Forehead, nose and chin appear greasy and shiny.
  • Cheeks appear dry and feel tight, they may also show signs of flakiness.

Cleansing step:

Water soluble cleansers are recommended (foaming cleansers) they are gentle and effective at removing excess oil

  1. Wet face with lukewarm water
  2. apply cleanser made essentially for combination skin or you might use 2 different cleansers one for the T-zone (oily) and the other for cheeks (dry zone).
  3. Rinse face with lukewarm water and gently tap dry with a clean towel.

Toning and Moisturizing step:

  • Toning: Use a toner made with hazel or rose water ingredients as these elements help balance the skin’s pH. Pour or squeeze a small amount of toner onto your fingertips and rub gently on the face, focusing on the forehead, nose and chin where you have more oil. Also apply to dry areas (cheeks). Let it absorb and dry dry naturally.
  • Moisturizing: 1Apply a lighter moisturizer to oily areas (T-zone). 2Use a richer moisturizer on drier areas usually the cheeks.
  • Tip: finding the perfect moisturizer for combination skin may require some trial and error. It’s important to pay attention to how your skin responds to the moisturizers used and how often, and adjust your routine accordingly. Trial is key.
